On weekends I don the Vanilla Pop outfit, swill martinis and flirt with the girls. It's pretty much the same during the week but I do it in jeans. No sequins, no fake moustache and no polyester. As is the case with running your own business, my primary day to day focus is on the band. Recording and arranging new material, flooding social media about upcoming gigs, fielding clients, responding to countless emails and making sure the main hotels in NM keep us at the top of their "preferred vendor" list.
Long ago I was something called an "English Major", with an emphasis in "Creative Writing". It was a way to go to college without having to make a decision as to what I really wanted to do for the rest of my life. That was years ago. And while I don't put pen to paper as much as I should, occasionally I still like to dip the old pen in the inkwell. I don't know if that's an established idiom, but I like it- even though I had to look up the word "idiom"
